I’m so glad you found me! I love supporting women in their fitness journeys to pregnancy, during pregnancy and then the transition to motherhood and beyond.
I have been through the changes that come with getting pregnant and the challenges of juggling a new life with a new born and wanting to get back into fitness, but with new priorities – and a new body!
I understand the struggles that come with adjusting to life as a mother; the lack of energy/sleep, the mental load, the huge learning curve of being responsible for a tiny human, a feeding and nap schedule and all the other household admin, demands of breastfeeding …and don’t get me started on the hormonal swings!
Whether you have a newborn or your children are now adult, your body has done some super amazing things and we should honour that by exercising in ways that are both comfortable and effective.
I have also faced the heartache that comes with trying to get pregnant and recurrent miscarriage. I know the fears that surround exercise during the agonisingly long wait of the second two weeks of every menstrual cycle and first trimester of pregnancy.
I have 10 years of experience as a personal trainer, starting off my career with two highly reputable performance gyms in West London, where I coached strength and conditioning to men and women. Just before my own pregnancy in 2016, I began to specialise in pre- and postnatal fitness. I studied countless courses and certifications and I am also a contributor to the Girls Gone Strong Pre- & Postnatal Coaching Certification for personal trainers. I really enjoy learning all about this subject and I research and enhance my knowledge and understanding through continued education.
My coaching process is designed to help you make changes that stick rather than transformational programmes that only last for as long as you are training at that high intensity or maintaining a restrictive diet. I’ve done those programmes and I’ve learned that the ‘boom and bust’ approach is not only exhausting, but leads to poor body confidence and can have a negative impact on your hormones. I will help you make fitness a healthy habit for life, and teach you how to exercise independently – at home or in any gym – and with the confidence that you are moving well, moving safely and doing effective work to help you meet your fitness goals.
There are two ways you can work with me:
Online Personal Training Online pre- and postnatal coaching includes practical workbook exercises, a bespoke exercise programme, nutrition and lifestyle skills and regular check-ins and support. Video workouts can also be accommodated where needed or desired.
In-Person Training if you live in Colombo. This includes some online coaching too, with easy-to-follow videos of the exercises in your bespoke programme, and coaching on nutrition and lifestyle habits. This means that you develop independence as you gain confidence in doing regular workouts, helping you meet your goals without having to depend on me being there but still benefit from the guidance you will receive in your weekly in-person session.

Qualifications / Certifications
I have studied many certifications, and even contributed to creating one because I really enjoy learning about all things related to pregnancy, postpartum, diastasis recti, pelvic organ prolapse. I have my own interest in knowing all there is to know about exercise and TTC. I am even studying courses on parenting – I guess I just really love learning 🤓
